This is my latest Morgan, and my first VAM (attributed anyway)
More of an impulse buy, I just had to bring this Alligator down to Louisiana where it belongs...
It's all about what the people want...
My newest one doesn’t have a TrueView and I don’t have a good picture of it, but this one is new-ish…

Last month.
Very nice! That one has similar toning to my 84-O.

Newish. Found another one in the bargin bin.
Wow, clean and smooth!! Love the old blue holder! I am just two Morgans away from finishing my box of 20! After that, I will start my second Morgan box of 20! Why stop there?! 😉
Sometimes, it’s better to be LUCKY than good. 🍀 🍺👍

This was found and purchased the other day at a local coin shop. On the cardboard 2x2 that it was in was written the grade "VF" and the price "$75". And they gave me 10% off that
This date tends to be plagued with rim dings and damage, and cleaning (in ill-fated attempts to improve to the next grade due to significant price jumps).
So a nice EF45+ with no damage or cleaning should be worth about $175, I think.

Yes some CACG ones.
Love the reverse of this coin. Almost looks like the reverse of another coin.

and for you crust lovers, this 78 CC from a recent David Kahn online auction:

I like them bought some 64 grade.
Last sunday's auction...
The last Morgan dollar I purchased for myself on May 19, 2001. From a current member of these boards and I had the CAC sticker added many years later.
In honor of the memory of Cpl. Michael E. Thompson
I think this is the only Morgan I've purchased since the early teens -- bought last year:

Nice coins all. Question: David 3142 shows a pretty crescent toned rainbow Morgan dollar, and says he doesn't have a True View image of the coin. But the photo he included from PCGS says "True View." What am I missing? Are the images on the PCGS website --Verify-- the True View images, or is there something else?
In any event, while I'm at it, here is a recent November acquisition that I've added to my Rainbow Toned Morgan Dollar collection:
You may want to re-read David's post to clear up what you're missing.
Nice coin @gemtone65
Great coins @Luxor and @david3142! Adding to the fun as mine is kinda similar......1885-O
Rc5280: Thank you for the path to the solution to my confusion.
Inspired70: Great coin! I had it on my radar screen when it was available but in the end couldn't pull the trigger.
Anyone know why when I just posted pictures of my coin above, the links appeared instead of the coin? Of course you can click the links and the coin will appear, but I'd much prefer to have the picture appear directly.
My most recent Morgan purchase, MS65, common date, uncommon eye appeal.

Click on the 6th icon above the post box - the one that looks like a little mountain. Then you can select an image from your photo gallery. If you use collectivecoin there is an option to copy the image in the forum style that will show as a picture here and not as a link.
@Inspired70 that Morgan is stunning. I remember it from the auction several years back.
Thanks, David. Can you elaborate on the CollectiveCoin option? As for the icon approach, let me try this now.
Here is a rainbow toned Morgan from, as best I recall, is from the same collection as the Inspired70 1885-o coin above: 1896 PCGS67 CAC:
Wow, that is a long time.
My most recent Morgan purchase (5 years ago). Pretty nice for a junk box silver dollar, IMO.
My most recent pick-up...
PCGS
Bought this one for the holder. These NGC 2.0 holders are scarce.

@pcgscacgold thats a fantastic coin/holder. Appears to be in mint condition too with no scratches on the gold embossed emblem on the back.
Thanks @Downtown1974 I thought it looked great too (and the coin inside is a beauty). Collectors and dealers took care of this one for sure.
