My wife found this bill while going through her "mad money". She's never liked spiders but this could change her mind. Anyone care to offer their thoughts?

It has been stamped on after the bill was printed. It wasn’t on there when it was printed.
Similar to a counterstamp on a coin. Technically it is damage.
And the appearance of the anti-counterfeit measures (yellow 20s) over the spider doesn't influence your opinion? Forgive me, I am new at this.
No it doesn’t.
The spider ink just doesn't adhere well to the yellow 20's. It is just a post-issue stamp. I kind of like it, I like spiders, but it is worth face value $20.

It might actually represent a tick rather than a spider ?
Maybe some sort of political statement ?
