JC Penny football sets.

I found a gentleman selling some JC penny Topps football sets 87-89. Do these sell for a bit more than regular sets? Seller says he has more from the early 80’s as well. Does anyone have any additional info. I was able to find a brief discussion back in 2009 but that’s it. Thank you for your help!

    I think that's where I got most of my sets growing up. They come in brown cardboard boxes - not like the prettier factory sets. But same cards.
