    Depends, copper, silver or gold?
    Copper no
Silver a nice colorful tone, but not dark crusty
    Gold crust gooood, within reason.

I didn't vote because none of the criteria fits how I feel.

I like toning, if it's attractive and original, but I also like white, lustrous coins, as well.

My collection is a combination of the two.

PS-I too was a huge fan of Pearl Jam and Nirvana. Had long hair and wore cargo shorts with boots back in 1992. ;) I was just 25 then.

Sometimes, it’s better to be LUCKY than good. 🍀 🍺👍

Grunge on gold as long as it's not excessive...

I like them clean....Though old silver that has darkened from commerce, is acceptable. Cheers, RickO

Voted other as metal content unknown. thick n crusty may suffice for some metals, but not all. JMO

I must be stupid because other than the first one I don't know what these selections mean.

Yes, kinda several of those. On circulated silver (VF and below) I really like the “cameo” of a deep gray patina of the fields and the lighter relief. I like and appreciate a nice layer of originality on higher grade items. I tend to dislike flashy just-dipped silver skin. I like light toning with a lot of luster underneath but not a heavier toning (except in minor spots of the periphery).

Other. I want to see what the coin looks like, first.
