Game has been dead since 1994.

I'm looking forward to the nets.

I think the game will improve once the younger hitters are encouraged to and learn to beat the shift. Then the long ball will be part of a hitters arsenal, not the whole thing.

Must have hit the ball on its sweet spot.

What a joke. No way you should be able to homer on a pitch/swing like that.

    No kidding

There must be a superball inside.

People have been making comments all year.

I didn't google it, but I wonder if anyone recently has taken a major league baseball, and sliced it open, to see what is inside there and how its constructed.

Also doing some tests of sorts for distance versus an older baseball.

I haven't done a"deep dive" into either yet.

Corked bat could have helped. No way that swing clears the fence IMHO.

This is why I dislike Baseball. The Capitalistic greed affects the game in such a way that you no longer care about the statistics or who wins the World Series. They are almost rendered meaningless. Everyone involved in the game is out to generate as much revenue as possible and the integrity of the game is cast aside without any concern. It's all about greed and generating as much revenue as possible.

I know Football and Basketball have similar elements but you just don't see the game altered nearly as much by the drastic changes implemented by MLB. I'm guessing MLB feels threatened by the popularity of the other 2 major sports and that it has been fading for nearly 3 decades but they are just putting the death nail in their coffin.
