Not earth shattering, but here are a couple of (to me) cherrypicks.

I'm a flight attendant and got back home in time to hit one of the monthly coin shows here. I always am looking for MS Jeffersons in the old rattler holders, but no, no luck again. One dealer had several boxes full of stuff so I figured I'd take a look.
First thing I found was a set of first day covers with SBAs in them. I do not collect them, but for $10 I figured it was a decent price considering the Philly SBA is a near date.

Looking further, I found an empty Philadelphia Souvenir envelope that had 1982 written on it and a price of $4. Rats, some one got the coins. As I get to the bottom, among some 60's proof sets, there it was. I put the coins back in the envelope and was glad to pay $4.

Like I said, not earth shattering, but I enjoyed my day and pickups.

George

Way to go! That '82 quarter looks pretty nice. (it's just hard to say that about the Suzie B... but for a near date- $8 is a good price I think.

Nice pick ups....There can be some good finds in those 'junk' boxes.... I often ask about stuff the dealer is not displaying 'behind the table'...Got a few nice items that way. Cheers, RickO

You did very well...the 1982 souvenir set goes for x5, and sometimes a bit more of all you paid. This would be a very good day for me personally. I have the '82, and '83 souvenir sets, P&D.

As you probably know, the mint didn't issue an official mint set that year, or, in '83 so kudos! Bonus on the near date- you did very well IMO!!!

Nice work. As you said, not life changing, but buys some groceries.
