Weighty Antoninianus

I recently purchased a Gordian III antoninianus (special affection for Gordian III) through the mail. Upon receipt, I was surprised at its heft, close to 6 grams. The diameter seems correct. Is there some sort of weight standard for the antoninianus of the time?

Obviously not my field, but Kent in Roman Coins notes a weight of 4.4g for "radiate silver pieces" under Gordian III.

I love those heavy ants.
The coin is fine, Gordy and some others have many ants that would be considered overwight. I saw one that was over 7 grams.
I have one that is 6.2g

Thanks, guys. My experience with Gordian III antoniniani tends to be under 5 grams. Wow! 6.2 grams. Someone was not into standards.

There is several of his denarii at almost 4g. I saw one last year at 4.3g, but it was priced as special too
But overweight denarii and ants. are not uncommon and usually are not worth a premium.
I like them though.
