    Ah no ....

But some collectors and silver buyers will be.

Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?

Lost interest after the edge thing a couple years ago. Can't really explain it.

I will be adding to my stock of Proof ASE 2017s until I have a few more coins.

The Proof ASE 2018 will be on sale for quite some time to come if the Mint runs true to recent form.

Buying these at issue price is a bad habit of mine. I know I'll never get the money back 100 cents on the dollar, but I still do it.

I will buy 1 for my album, and one to get certified.

Did you see the 2018 Bulk Pack?

But it's "For bulk purchasers only": https://catalog.usmint.gov/american-eagle-2018-one-ounce-silver-proof-coin-bulk-pack-18EA042.html?cgid=product-schedule

Not that I'm looking to buy any, let alone a pack of 210. Just curious about the discount for dealers.

Nope. Not excited in the least bit.

Typically, unless something unusual occurs such as a design flaw which creates a specific rarity or the implication of a rarity, anything purchased from the US Mint is a losing proposition. Their markups are outrageous and their product is subject to milk spotting.

    So, excited? Nope.

I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.

@COCollector did you read the part about no claimshells with your bulk. I am all for saving space and the environment but who came up with the quantity.

A little research shows the mint's ASE robotics uses 6x7 trays, so the 42 coin trays are probably a standard within the mint.

You can find the original discussion on the bulk packs here.

Will those Monster Proof Boxes be available like the " Big Green" BU's ? I'll bet someone wants to buy a few.... but not me.

Mine arrived in the mail y'day. Very nice. I'm not used to having a new year's coin in hand so early in the year.

I finally kicked the new Mint products habit in 2015.

The way the mint has done things the last 5+ years, I have moved away from clad proof sets. Cut back on silver proof sets and mint sets (used to get 2-3, now just 1).
Now, the SAE proofs are on the bubble. Was getting 2-3 as well. Down to 1 or none in my thinking.
Too many sets, too many mint marks, too high of a cost (imho).

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

Looks like I can declare myself free of the Big Mint Monkey that used to ride on my back , also. I don't feel any urge at all to dump my money and add to my storage woes.

Now if I can just free myself of that LOTTO Monkey.

Same here. Down to one a year for my collection. (Kennedy rolls/Proof/Silver Proof/Mint/Pr. ASE/Unc. ASE.) Heck, I'm in such a non-hurry, I usually wait until the end of the year to get free shipping.

That may change with free shipping on the subscriptions...

(This does not include the upcoming RP Silver set... :) )
