Have you ever done anything like this?
I was at an auction and rapidly inspected the items. I was looking at a Burnished ASE in an off brand slab. I made a quick note Reverse of 07. I won the coin. Just one problem the obverse is also of 07.

I've done the same on BIN that I saw come up on ebay.....overpaid but was able to return. My seller had several ASE's up at the same time and I saw the obverse in one pic but when he flipped it over in the next pic it screwed up the order......So, I ended up buying and returned 8 different coins....he understood.

Yes.... I recall doing something similar....sometimes mental wires get crossed when at coin shows....
I just laughed it off... was not a big deal.... Cheers, RickO

Sometimes, you must act hastily, so as not to lose out.
Many times it works to your benefits but other times it does not.
Sometimes, it’s better to be LUCKY than good. 🍀 🍺👍

Bought a seated dime off of Ebay. It was an impulse buy. It was in a SEGS holder. Got it for a good price. Thought it was a proof. After my bid, I looked and it was prooflike.
Worked out for me because it actually is prooflike and now I collect prooflike coins. Go figure.
