Slot machines seem popular. My go to guy in town offers a selection of silver jewelry and other collectibles. Most interesting item was a glass eye.
He once had a pinball machine with an out of order sign on it. After a couple of years I asked why he didn't get it fixed....he told me it worked fine, the sign was to keep kids away from it!

Guns.
Mine has old toys, mostly farm equipment toys.
Currency, Sports cards, sports memorabilia, Chocolates(yes, that's right), Old newspapers/magazines, scrap jewelry, I've seen beanie babies in there, one or two pieces of antique furniture, there is a case of old soda bottles in there right now.. Basically they deal in anything and everything.

Gold and silver bullion.
Bit of a selection of coinage.
He makes the majority of his money buying silver and gold jewelry to be sent to the refinery.
Hell of a nice guy too.
He and his brothers have a nice gun shop right next to his coin shop!
Hmmm...did not see that one coming.

Most interesting item was a glass eye.
No no no. Knew a guy with an artificial eye in the 70s, worst was dropping the "ball" in someone's beer @ a kegger. No. Still so wrong.
Dust and fur ball that I am allergic to.
Jewelry, old photos, and random little antique odds and ends.
Coin books and albums.
Local tokens, currency, metal detectors, gold panning supplies, albums and books.
Lots of jewelry and some knick-knacks (toys, spoons, figurines, etc.)

The dealer that I have known the longest also deals in old Cadillac parts.
Problem coins in off brand holders and an odd smell that I can't quite figure out .... He does have some nicer dates but rarely a coin without some type of issue.
Successful trades.... MichaelDixon,

This is a good question.
The coin shop I frequented as a boy 35-40 years ago had lots of old car license plates on the walls, and I mean lots.
The one I visit once in a blue moon as a middle-aged man has quite a few non-coin silver items in the cases and on the counter-- jewelry, flatware, picture frames, that kind of thing. They come in over the counter and I don't think he has the heart to melt some of these folks' treasures. I suspect that he suspects that they will come back to repurchase them someday.

A shop a bit down the highway offers fossils. I think that's pretty unique
Glass marbles, local sourced agate gemstones, fossils, mining ephemera, gold ore specimens and nuggets, odds and end small antiques and sometimes safes.
3 LCS's here in town all carry different items.
1 - light on the coins, more specialized in bullion and ammo and guns. Nice big grizzly bear in the store pretty cool.
2 - lots of coins, junk silver, local college sporting wear, baseball cards.
3 - lots of coins, junk silver (separated by denomination), sterling flatware and dinnerware.
Bob at the first store I listed is a good guy - I worked with him back in the 80's, then he went on to be a police officer. Now running a coin store.
Insert witicism here. [ xxx ]
I wish there were a local coin store here.... There are antique shops that have some coins.... mainly overpriced and poor quality....There were coin shops in Seattle and Renton... one had some other stuff - metal detectors and musical instruments. Cheers, RickO
