Happy Birthday to Thomas Jefferson! And one board member.

He isn't as old as TJ (close) and I won't say his username, but it sounds like "Journal Mess Up". Happy Birthday old friend! We need at least another 15 years out of you... :)

    The new book, 1792: Birth of a Nation's Coinage claims that Jefferson withdrew $75 of his own money in Spanish Milled dollars from the first Bank of the United States and took them to John Harper's shop for coinage. Jefferson took delivery of the 1,500 half dismes and spent them for tips on his way back to Monticello

    That's not good as the Washington gave up his silverware story, but it's almost as good.
