Ran across this ad in a 1975 issue of Hockey Digest and got a kick out of reading the pricing they have here. These old advertisements can be pretty entertaining sometimes, so thought I'd scan and share:

    This is great! I love seeing things like this (i.e. prices back in the day). Especially related to sports cards. A box of 1975 topps (500 count)...I'm assuming vending for $5.

    Thanx for posting. Always enjoy stuff that takes us back to the ole days of the hobby.

    A few years back, I posted a piece on the Wagner card with a "50s" perspective.

    Back in 1958, Charles Bray was willing to pay a whopping 25 bucks for the card! "In good clean undamaged condition."

    Crap, look at the add. $30 for a 1975 Topps Mini Baseball set. $12.50 for a 1974 Topps Football set.

    Actually, not too far off. $30 back in 1975, w/ inflation today is $130.41
