As an error collector I pay pretty close attention to my change. Once I got a small broadstruck 1996-D Washington quarter that was extremely scratched up and literally looked like it had been laying in the street getting run over by cars for a while. That's the only coin I have ever found "in the wild".
I do a fair amount of roll searching and my only error finds have come from cent rolls. All of them minor. A couple blank planchets, a couple clips including a double-clip, and one slightly off-center.
Here is one pic I have uploaded.

<< <i>I got this one out of the Cafeteria Cash Drawer as change:
I also got a 1970-D Washington with a minor clip out of a roll I purchased off of eBay. Does that count? >>
nice find and a great grade as well >>
Thanks!
I remember the excitement revolving around the release of the State Quarters and even purchased the $25.00 bags.
When the Connecticut coin was released, I asked the cashier to let me look in her drawer. (I was always looking in that cash drawer much to the shock of all the subsequent cashiers that worked there!)
At any rate, she pulled this one out which happened to be the 1st Connecticut Quarter I'd ever encountered in the "wild"!
I also got this one out of the same drawer:
I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.
As a CRH I find them on a regular basis, mostly clips - usually minor. I have also found cuds, planchets etc, even some Canadians. Most recent find is a 1966 nickel with a minor clip from a roll search and then the other thread where I found the dime planchet at a Subway restaurant.

Back when I used to search rolls religiously, I found a couple of minor clips and unstruck planchets, but nothing really exciting. My best find was a cent struck about 98% off center, the struck part of the coin had sliced through the paper roll like a tiny knife.

I was at LAX for one of my trips to Switzerland, in 1978 or so, and I got a 1974-D Dime in change at the coffee shop there. It was a clipped planchet.
I put it in a labeled 2x2 holder, and still have it somewhere with my 'fun' coins......
Think that's about it for finds, other than die cracks, etc. when I was a kid searching thru circ and BU rolls.

After searching for a rotated die for years I found this one in a box of 500 dollars, been told its not worth getting slabbed but after looking for yrs to finally find one felt good. And I always think that its funny no one noticed it before me. Also just found last week a lincoln penny 1993 that the In God We Trust is right on the upper rim which is small compared to the bottom being thicker, think its a off centered error, the back of the coin is right. Enjoy

the best I've found errorwise have been partial edge lettered dollars and a slightly misaligned obverse die half dollar.
