Seriously, the Jersey Island treasure story has been getting a lot of press,
partly because the Jersey treasure laws are different than most of England.

How is Jersey different from the current UK Treasure Trove laws? ..... no plumb in the pie for Queenie?

Jersey's separate treasure trove law, Queenie gets the whole thing.

From UK Guardian:

Like the old treasure trove law in mainland Britain, replaced in 1997 with the much more straightforward Treasure Act, Jersey's treasure regulations are based on medieval law, and depend on establishing not just that the hoard contains precious metal but how and why it came to be placed in the ground.
