This stuff is up for grabs at a local estate sale. Is anything here of any real value?

Any help is appreciated but no big deal. Just wondering if I should pick up some stuff for the collection. I know some medals can be rare

Most are not items I would be interested in; however am curious about what is inside the rolled up red white and blue ribbon?

I like the Liberty Loan items. Amazing time in history when citizens loaned the government money like that.

The Liberty Loan and Red Cross buttons have a historical interest, but not much value from what I've seen in button collecting world. These are the type of items end up in junk boxes or "buck a button" boards.

In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?

Is that a Corning Wear or Pyrex serving bowl in the upper right corner of the first image?

The buttons usually sell (slowly though) at retail of $3-$4 a pop at antique malls/stores.
You may own them a year or two before moving them though.
I can't see the medal clearly enough to tell what it is.

Many of those items are of value to the right collector.

It has great history behind the items. I would love to see all of them if the owner who earned them had write ups on them. Great service metals but mostly momentous that a family should keep in remembrance of the person who earned them.

War era (not 100 % sure which - WWII?). For the right price I would love to come across a lot like that. Lots of history. Meant a lot to the original owner, I am sure.

They appear to be low value items. The cost of selling items in that price range often exceeds the proceeds from the sale.

    All glory is fleeting.
