I want to purchase a PCGS PR70 1/4 oz and didn't buy on the first day on March 31 when release at the usmint.gov. I want to get Proof 70 Grade for sister wedding gift. Want to give as gift on April 15, 2018 (2 weeks), will I get it in time or can anyone recommend another options (ie: brick & mother, private seller)? And do i need to buy air tite case and display case too so, i will take that into consideration too when buying. Let me know what you all think!? Thank you.
I'm located close to Alhambra, CA 91801.

This is the coin I want graded:
https://catalog.usmint.gov/american-eagle-2018-one-quarter-ounce-gold-proof-coin-18ED.html?cgid=product-schedule
Usmint.gov
$440 + $5.95 shipping = $445.95

Lowest prices in PCGS PR70:
https://www.govmint.com/2018-w-10-dollar-1-4-oz-gold-eagle-pcgs-pr70dcam-first-strike
Govmint
$535+ 0.00 shipping - $25 first order = $510.00

But then I'm thinking, should I get bullion instead of paying hefty price for graded coin, wondering what do you guys think?
Keeping budget about $500, so I actually need to add another coin.

MCM ebay
$374 + 0.00 shipping = $374.00

Thank you everyone for your input!

I like bullion! Both are cool choices though. I wish I would have invited you to my wedding

Your intention is very thoughtful and generous, but unless the bride & groom are into coins or bullion, give them cash....

I'm with ms70. If they're not already into coins or bullion give them cash or a nice crock pot.

I suggest that you buy them the bullion piece and then also tell them how they might liquidate the bullion when and if they desire to convert it into cash.

I have found that giving coins - of any type or metal - to people who are not coin aficionados - is usually not understood or truly appreciated. Cheers, RickO

To personalize it you can have it engraved into a love token with their names and date of marriage. It still might be odd to them but at least it would be personalized.

I agree with what some have already said, that if they are not coin collectors I would give them something else.

Thank you for so many suggestions, but my family is big on giving gold as gift. And my sister isn’t in need of money to spend so I thought a billion will be nice instead of a graded coin. That’s why I was suggesting bullion.

From everyone’s suggestion, I’ll stick with bullion. But now, where can I find the best cost for bullion and does it come with a nice case or will I have to buy my own?

I wouldn't pay a premium for a PCGS coin (especially a 70), particularly if the goal is to display it. Mint boxes (if they still issue proofs in them) are quite attractive (IMO) and otherwise, a nice display can be made/acquired. I've never thought slabs attractive in the display sense; as a collector I understand and appreciate their utility. That said, I'm also someone who doesn't see much need for slabbed bullion vs. raw.

Buy a bullion coin for the bullion price. DO NOT pay any premium for a holder or grade!

Assuming either the bride or groom is into PMs or coins then get them a 1/4 oz gold proof. I wouldn't pay for the certification.

Mal, Shelley et al. at Alhambra Coin are very solid people who can likely get you what you want easily.

If your giving away a** 'billion**' I could use some also....just kidding.....Give what you want, it sounds like your family knows the value of gold so she may appreciate it.
From a premium cost standpoint I would stick with the bullion.
