Anyone else see the TV ad for this piece? Saw it today, but only caught the end of the offer. Apparently it is legal tender in a foreign country.

    They will waive the limit of 5 if you ask. I asked for 100 and they said they'd check with a superior. Elevator music for ten seconds. Would waive this one time only. Thanked and said I'd call back with my order....later.

    I don’t think that you will see any dealers forming consortiums to buy up more as we have seen with certain U.S. Mint products.

    Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?

    I always figured they picked a limit that they knew no one would ask for just to make it appear that it was restricted. Like those coin offers where certain states have to call on certain days. It is a ruse to instill a sense of demand and urgency.
