PLEASE KEEP THIS THREAD FOR REQUESTS ONLY - PLEASE USE THE INTEREST THREAD FOR DISCUSSIONS/QUESTIONS

I have been playing telephone tag with BBCE all day to try and reserve product for this Group Break, but so far we have not connected. Therefore I am listing everything I previously listed in the "interest" thread at the BBCE website advertised prices. Once I get connected to Steve I will see what he can do for us based on what we have a reasonable shot at taking down. At that point I will update the thread if we have any downward revisions to pricing or additional information.

Since we don't yet have officially reserved product it is possible that we may take requests for some items that BBCE sells to someone else before we can get it held for the group. I apologize in advance if this occurs. The commitment needed for some of the more expensive items may prevent BBCE from giving us a "hold" on that item until we completely consume it (or reach a minimum level of consumption that BBCE will determine). We'll do our best to get as much as we can.

WE HAVE TRIED TO DEVISE RULES THAT ARE FAIR AND APPLY TO EVERYONE (EVEN MYSELF) SUCH THAT NO ONE HAS ANY ADVANTAGE OVER ANYONE ELSE. BREAK OVERVIEW

1) All requests are first-come-first-served based on posting sequence in the reservation thread.

2) This break starts at 9:00PM EDT Sunday August 20, 2017. Only posted requests time-stamped AFTER 8:59:59PM EDT Sunday August 20, 2017 will be considered valid. NOTE: WE ARE RUNNING THE BREAK BASED ON THE CU FORUM CLOCK! WE HAVE NO IDEA IF IT IS SYNCHED TO THE NAVAL ATOMIC CLOCK, BIG BEN, OR ANY OTHER PARTICULAR CLOCK. IF YOUR REQUEST IS TIMESTAMPED BEFORE 9:00PM ON SUNDAY AUGUST 20, 2017 THEN IT IS INVALID...PERIOD! (Sorry for yelling, but we had sour grapes once before because some felt that if their timepiece said it was 9:00PM then it was good enough and to h*ll with everyone else who read and followed the published rules).

3) This break will end at 11:59:59AM EDT on Friday August 25, 2017. I leave for a week on Sunday the 27th, so I will post the final results and amounts owed as soon as I can thereafter. Payments to BBCE can begin only after the final results are posted.

4) In the first 48 hour period, ending at 8:59PM EDT Tuesday August 22, each person may request up to 2 packs/racks from any/all products.

5) In the first 48 hour period, ending at 8:59PM EDT Tuesday August 22, each person may request up to 1 box from any/all cases being broken.

6) In each 24 hour period after the first 48 hours, i.e. Tue 9:00PM EDT - Wed 8:59:59PM EDT and Wed 9:00PM EDT - Thur 8:59:59PM EDT, you may request up to 2 additional packs/racks from any/all products that remain available.

7) In each 24 hour period after the first 48 hours, i.e. Tue 9:00PM EDT - Wed 8:59:59PM EDT and Wed 9:00PM EDT - Thur 8:59:59PM EDT, you may request up to 1 additional box from any/all cases that remain available.

8) From 9:00PM EDT Thursday August 24, 2017 until the break ends at 11:59:59PM Friday August 25, 2017 you may make additional requests for as many remaining packs/racks/boxes as you desire from any/all products offered.

9) If you would like an empty wax box, cello box, rack box or case you may request 1 of the these during the first 48 hour period, 1 during each of the following 24 hour periods and anything that remains starting at 9:00PM EDT Thursday August 24, 2017. Requests will be alloted for all completely consumed product based on the order received. No one will receive more than one empty box/case until all requestors have had the opportunity to be considered for at least one empty box/case.

10) Please reply to this thread with your pack/box requests. REQUESTS VIA PM WILL BE INVALID. All requests MUST be publicly posted in the thread in order to be valid, and will be listed in the order received.

From time-to-time I will update the thread to collate requests into the reservation slots below. I will bump this thread to the top of the forum just before the break starts on Sunday.

    Great, although this seemed like the most complicated group break of the century, I realize now if the box/case has been approved, we just call bbcex directly. It's actually easier

    Or, simply post your reservation before the explicitly stated deadline and before David calculates everyone's individual total payment. I thought the group rip ran quite smoothly considering the volume of product with which we were dealing.

    Agreed, it was the sheer volume that was hard for me to wade through. I think it was a great way to build up a rip on many items that couldn't or wouldn't have been considered. Thanks to those waiting by their computer at the start time!

    This one was a bit different for a number of reasons.

    Firstly, I was heading out on vacation and would not have net access (cruise) so it had to fit in before I left. There wasn't much time to get connected with Steve to "reserve" product so I had to launch based on what was on the website and hope we could fill it.

    Second, it started with talk of just the two 1979 rack boxes but then lots of questions arose about adding other stuff. Since it needed to ramp quickly I decided to go for it and try to get as much as possible into it.

    Lastly, I went a bit overboard on the 1981 football. It created a bunch of confusion in some ways but I was concerned that if I limited to only 1 version of each packaging we might fill up fast and then have people asking to add more in mid-break. Depending on what was added that could lead to people asking to switch, which would have potentially been a real headache. Therefore I thought it better to start broadly and leave a worst case scenario of needing to do some consolidation.

    Overall it seemed to work pretty well. Not an A+, but certainly B+ or better IMO.
