I picked up a nice upgrade on my Capped Bust Half Dime for my 19th Century Everyman Type Set and wanted to see what the forum members had to say about her in comparison to PCGS.

It almost looks like it may have slightly circulated after having toned. Beautiful coin and a strong AU.

LM-4 die marriage, if it matters (common). Nice AU coin. I could see it grading 53 and 55 depending on what day you send it in
I think its beautiful!
That is a very pleasing, high AU grade coin, probably an AU-58. It is also very well struck with none of the die fatigue that is often seen on high grade examples of this type.
No luster remaining in the large obv and reverse fields. That should rule out the 58 grade. While no doubt pretty...probably a result of secondary toning. Barndog makes sense with 53/55.
Nice coin.55.
very nice looking! I was thinking 53-55 but extremely attractive regardless of grade.
High on the eye appeal quotient regardless of grade. Very nice.
Nice coin!!
AU53....Overall, a nice coin... has that slightly circulated look prior to the tarnish.... Cheers, RickO
AU58. Very nice coin!

Nice job everyone! Some in agreement with our host, some others a little more generous, but one can only give so much of an opinion on a two dimensional image. As Barndog pointed out earlier, it is a LM-4 die marriage, R-1, it's diagnostic points are shown here if anyone is interested; http://www.everythinghalfdimes.com/uploads/8/9/5/5/8955938/1834_lm-4.jpg It is a welcomed addition to my collection.
