For anyone interested in the history and coinage of the Dahlonega Mint this book is a treasure. It contains a wealth of information on the formation and operation of this unique mint from 1835 to 1861. An interesting narrative of events and people, combined with copies of original letters and assay receipts. Six pages of color plates show examples of all the gold coinage produced. Copyright 1984. 119 pages.
This rare book is in immaculate condition. Read once by me and carefully stored for many years. If you check on Amazon you will see this volume listed for sale in "very good" condition with frayed pages and scratched covers, for $95 to $199.
