Any thoughts? My thoughts are that one of our grandparents or great grandparents selected it out of other currency coins in the roaring 20s, selecting it on pay day, set it aside and somehow kept it from circulating or being ill affected by a sweaty palm, etc.. And then it was eventually put in an album where it toned nicely.
I like it. The toning looks very natural and appropriate for this series. Nice 26-S coins are tough. Impossible to determine AU/BU from these photos. There are so very many sliders out there.
It's hard to tell from the pix, there's so much glare, but it appears to have some significant hits and scuffs/scratches. I'd be surprised if it graded higher than 62.
I would agree with album doubling and the coin having nice luster.
The "doubling" may be an artifact of the picture...way it was taken. Also, too much light...too harsh and causing glare. Makes it hard to really "see" the coin (toning, etc), but it has good potential (not to grade high but to look nice for what it is)

Album toner , with a better image quite I bet it pops.
Really hard to tell because of the brightness of the image but looks like it has nice toning.
I like the toning.
Die crack in rays on obverse?
Scratch in rays above eagle on reverse?
I like it!
I have one with a similar pattern, it was in one of those old cardboard holders with a bank ad on it.

Looks like it has great eye appeal.

I like the toning, but that's a pretty major ding on Liberty's neck.
The coin has booming luster, atteactive toning and unfortunately multiple marks and dings which would likely limit the grade to a 63 at best.
Not doubled? Nose.
More.
Not a fan.
I like it. It looks to be a good one. I agree better imaging would help this one out a bit more but I think it's a keeper.
that looks like it might be really nice. its kinda hard to tell with the pic though
Nailed it!

As they say in New England..... Gaawghuhs Strike!
Hard to tell with the pictures. Besides the dbl profile
the 9 looks doubled? Love the target tone.
Toning looks very nice.

Still, it has a pretty look.
Lance.
Is the forehead and nose doubled?
I like it. The toning resembles a piece of toast which has been slightly burnt.
There does appear to be legitimate doubling on the letter R.....could be the picture.... Cheers, RickO
Rumors of doubling..........
Get out the glass, take a look, it's doubled.

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment
Better photos attached. Less glare.
I still like it.
