Picked up a raw circ seated quarter as a type example

It's got that nice, VFish Circ Cam appearance I enjoy in 19th century type.

It looks dark, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. I think it could crack 35 if not XF40.

But I'm more of a Bust guy, as you may know.

EDIT: I just looked at some XF Seated quarters; I don't think yours is XF, unless you're using the eBay grading system.

    I'll stick to the Busts.

VF-35. If you enjoy it I am happy for you. I have learned to stay away from blackness on coins - sometimes it is environmental damage (sometimes corrosion). Your coin does not appear to be so from this view. Happy collecting!!

    Nice VF35.

    Too dark?

Imagine if you had a 60-s, 71-cc, or 72-s quarter that "dark." You'd be beating off potential buyers.

    As others have said, I think it's a 35.

    It's close to XF.

    LOVE it.

    35, I suppose.

Dark? Sure. But that has the perfect CircCam look.

    Right up my alley.

I wanted to compare my newp side by side with yours, since we're both doing the 7-pc Capital Plastic holder set now.

    Rock on, CircCam brother! image

You got the nicer deal regardless of comparisons, since the price you told me you paid was only a smidgen over half what I paid.

Nice coin, good buy. Would put in my eBay store in 2x2 at VF money (assuming that's what I graded it).

I have done this w nice inexpensive collector coins. Sometimes they retail better than the slabs.

It all adds up whether $5 or $500 coin.
