Boring? Nope...not to those who appreciate classic commems! Nice toning, I like it. Thanks for posting!

As I'm learning about the series, and slowly putting a set of these Classic commem's together, this particular commem is next on my radar. Not knocking your coin, not in the lest, or trying to sour the thread, not in the least, but I have to say, I'm not a fan of the darker toning on the obverse (not a an of any toning, actually)..... however......with that said, I can see the coin, w/out the toning, has a great strike, and I (at the risk of embarrassing myself, where I'm still new to the series) can see this at a solid 66, perhaps? Nice coin, for a non blasty white example!
    I'll come up with something.

I like the "frame" toning your coin exhibits. It's quite a nice Albany and fits very well with the rest of your set.

Very nice original. It would be "boring" if it were dipped white. Nice coin.

Yep, it's boring...somebody has got to say it!

On a positive note, it is not the most boring though of the classical commemoratives.

I like it. If I had the extra $$$$$ I would do the Classic Commem's.

That dubious distinction would go to the Boone, Monroe, and probably both the BTW and Washington Carver. Dullsville for all 4 of those.

Agreed...what was that one with a man beating a calf with a stick on it? New Rochelle?

Do not like dark obverse toning. If this is graded could you at least put the TPG and TPG grade?

I am about 20 miles from Albany and less than a 1,000 feet from a beaver lodge. Looks like a cool coin to me.

Successful BST deals with mustangt and jesbroken. Now EVERYTHING is for sale.

I am 45 miles from Albany.....and I had a beaver walk right down my street in front of my house... Not boring at all... though I prefer it tarnish free....Cheers, RickO

I just got it in hand. Not nearly as dark as in the picture. Looks much better in hand. I'm pleased.
