It's interesting that the Canadian cent only circulates in the US now (maybe some other places, too).

is is actually accepted as legal form of payment? Despite the difference in exchange rate?
Or is it just tolerated and accepted because most people know it is a legal form of payment in Canada, but you can not pay with it any more legally... paradox? right.
