My Type set progress. 4-16-16

FlatwoodsFlatwoods Posts: 4,246 ✭✭✭✭✭
I posted a thread like this a couple of years ago.

I thought it would be a good way for me to go back and see my progress over the years.

I had grand illusions of doing it every year but man it is time consuming.

I did learn a few things though.

The more I play with coins, the more I like them.

I really need a copy stand.

Circulated Buffalo nickels and Seated coinage photograph very well.

I started out with the goal of completing a 7070 type set.

I have added a few and I'm still missing quite a few.

I hope you like them. They definitely aren't super rarities but I enjoy them.

All feed back is welcomed and appreciated.

I think that's the point. It's supposed to be fun, and I bet you're having as much (or more) than the guy putting together a six-figure collection. Your set is just fantastic and nicely matched. The double-dime and the Barber quarter stuck out as especially nice. These coins all show wear but very few have any distracting marks or big issues. I like it.

That looks like a really nice "Even Steven" set to me FW.
I gave up on my type set years ago, it just seemed to difficult for me.

    Good luck,
    Ray

I have noticed it before. I assumed it was a die gouge/break.

Now you got me curious! I'll dig it out tomorrow and try to get better pics.
