US Mint packaging for proof coins/sets prior to 1936

Looking for information as to how Proof Coins were packaged prior to 1936.
Your help would be apprecaited.

    There was an auction a few years ago in the NE. Many years proof sets were represented. Mid 1880's to 1915 (I think)

    Maybe someone here recalls the auction company. Lots of really cool original packaging there.
