Another 1827 Bust Half - Grade Opinions / Overton Variety

Here's the second 1827 Bust half that I picked up recently.



There's still quite a lot of remaining luster, as you can see in the photos.

    35/40 at best on my monitor. Looks to be a nice original coin.

    Something seems off with the surfaces... possibly VF30 details and cleaned or corroded. I might be wrong, it could be original.

    It's the O.138, an R. 4 variety. Most likely in the 35 range, could go 40 with what looks like some decent luster. The surfaces are hard to judge with this photo, though. An interesting coin. Thanks for sharing.

    I see some scattered hairlines on the surfaces, but the details appear to be VF35.
