Grading help

Hello

I intend these 2 coins submit to NGC.

Can someone please give an assessment with which I can review about expected and what are the coins value? So I know whether a submission is worth.

Thank you very much

Not sure what's going on with the obverse of the half, but if that's a scratch it will receive a problem grade (EF-45 Details Scratched, in my opinion). The Barber quarter is definitely scratched, has rim damage, and appears to be hairlined. This would get problem-graded as well (AU-55 Details Scratched, Cleaned, Damaged in my opinion).

I would not send those in for grading. Problem coins.

Don't pay money to have someone tell you that those coins are scratched.

Unfortunately, I agree with everyone. I can't tell if thats a scratch on the Bust Half, but the scratch and rim marks on the Barber is very prominent and as such, it certainly would come back in a details holder, so not worth sending in IMHO.

I cant tell if the shorter mark is a scratch. The other mark looks like rubber band damage. That mark wouldn't stop a straight grade but a scratch would. The Barber is either hairlined or it's holder/flip is.

Probably a no submit if they were mine.

If you do what you always did, you get what you always got.
  • Thank you for your assessment.

I am still new in this field. I found the barber very good.

    I have a lot to learn .

The scratches on the Half Dollar is unfortunately very deeply.
