I am about to buy some more as that .03 percent my local bank is paying on my cd's is almost comical.

a friend of mine is caretaker of his elderly father and earlier this year he paid a visit to the bank to find out why he hadn't received an account tax statement of the interest on one of his dad's accounts. he was told that they don't send them out if the yearly interest is less than $15 or some small amount like that. he was shocked since the account balance was around $50k and I guess the interest wasn't even $10!!!!

he was pretty aggravated but at least he was able to laugh about it.
