  • I don't mean to hijack your thread, but is the wrong card better than no card if you have
    a boxed GSA $1?

    I have (3) 84's with 82 cards….and an 81 with an 83 card image
There is a very fine line between "hobby" and "mental illness."
  • I need the right card. My toned 1880-CC came with the card above. Toned coins that says Silver Dollar instead of Uncirculated Silver Dollar came with a generic card ( no serial number) and a small card explaining why the holder doesn't say uncirculated even though the coin was never placed into circulation. Tarnish was considered a negative at that time. I bought the correct cards and don't need this one.

right card is always better but then it comes down to dates. 82, 83, 84 are all cheap. 80, 81, 85 next step up. 78 is about 30 bucks and the rest a few hundred a piece.

And the '79-CC card gets silly.
    When in doubt, don't.
