Has anyone heard about 1808 1/2 reals coming up counterfeit?

and thus there are contemporary counterfeits of them. I realize this might be best in the world forum but I figured I would start here since the knowledge base is so deep.

    Yes. I have collected contemporary counterfeits of all US colonial era coinage in the past -- including 1/2 reales through 8 escudo gold.
