SPAIN. Pair of Quatrefoil Countermarked Gold Coins, 1757-JB & 1799-MF.
2 pieces in lot. Includes: 1 Escudo, 1799-MF Madrid Mint; and 1/2 Half Escudo, 1757-JB Madrid Mint. Both with the same countermark of a quatrefoil or four large pellets in quatrefoil form. The countermark is probably some sort of banker’s mark. ALMOST VERY FINE. Estimate: $300
