Black Morgan dollar

Here is a Morgan that has gone all black (or charcoal). It is still reflective in the mirrors (sitting next to another coin in the same roll). It is an 1881 s. Think its pretty cool and I will send off to get graded (if you saw this on another site, sorry).

Interesting coin, but just warning you now, if you send it to PCGS, they'll call it "environmental damage".

They won't grade it, but if you really want it in a details holder, go for it.

I bought a coin purse with about 6 silver dollars inside. It was made of leather and appeared to be
from the 1920's or 30's. All had some black toning on them, but the two outside coins that touched
the leather were black like the OP's. Interesting but damaged from the leather.

You could make it "target toned."
