Has anyone ever used one of these? They seem to be available from only one place and cost $300.00. Apparently it's a fiber optic magnifier or fiber optic taper which are military surplus, originally designed for use in tanks during Desert Storm. They look pretty neat. I'd like to have one but not sure about spending that kind of money. I originally learned of the tool here.

I honestly don't even know. But it just seems so neat that I want to have one to play with. I mean it would be a big boy toy basically.
