Sovereigns - fair price

What do you think a fair price would be for a 1875 S Sovereign - St. George reverse in AU (or EF in British grading)?

$500? I am only guessing from my limited knowledge. -Dan

Not many graded at NGC might be scarce.

Marsh does not list it as scarce, but Baldwins Bently Collection lists theirs as scarce.

Is it graded? Authentic? A lot of Sovereigns have been counterfeited. Can you post pics?

It was graded AU by the owner.

The three I just picked up where not quite as old but MS. 1881, 1912, and 1927(I think those were the dates. The dealer charged me $2 over spot, he bought a roll of 25 at $5 each under spot. I like playing with small margins.

What dealer was that? Please send me a PM. Were you able to pick the date?
