Who's Buying?

This has been an interesting day. Usually every time silver drops you see people yelling BUY THE DIPS!

It's not like that today.

Seems to be a lot of fear and uncertainty. People are holding what they have but not adding anything new.

I had been waiting and watching for $25 silver to buy. It dropped so quickly though that I decided to wait it out. When it hit $21.90 and bounced back up to $23 I was annoyed. Thought I should have jumped on it. I waited.

When I saw today that silver was sub $20 I jumped in with both feet. I added 11 10oz Year Of The Snake bars from Goldmart. Then I waited a bit and saw what seemed to be a steady price and jumped in and added 20 Freedom Girl Rounds from Amagi.

Checks are in the mail for both orders and it's my first time ordering from each store. Not worried how long it takes my order to arrive as I'll be sitting on it for quite some time.

So anyone else buying today? I'm in for 130oz! (And I'll add more if it hits $15-$10 like some people speculate.)

I bought a little silver today. My B&M has had nothing come in this last week. He actually sold me some old stock at a reduced price just to chase the cobwebs out of his cash register.

I'll keep on buying and keep on stacking for as long as I've got dollars to spend. Ups and downs don't mean much over decades.

That's pretty much my thinking. I'm 26 though so my cash *is* limited. I waited trying to get the most bang for my buck but I'm not going to push it!

My girlfriend is flipping out about me buying gold at $1350, a total of 1.25 oz. She magnifies the situation, see I told you so, etc. just adds to my stress. Today is crazy enough without her BS. Just had to rant.

My wife got over that a looooong time ago. When I explained to her that the value of metals will fluctuate over the years but can never go bankrupt and worth nothing like stocks can (I.E. Enron, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, etc.) she understood much better.

She gets off texting me throughout day with the current spot price. Funny, when gold was at $1900 I was a FN genius.

I'm tapped out for a bit. I've been buying hand over fist lately. I have many goodies to share for tomorrow's PMP thread!

My cash reserves are still decent and I could make another good sized buy, but it is never wise to overextend.

Assuming the big sellers are continually adjusting to the world market fluctuations in spot, one can buy after hours if the price drops even more and lock in the price.

No, no, no, not going to punch her. She's actually quite calm, it's sorta weird. I'm certainly not going to throw gas on the fire.

    EDIT:

JM has attractive pricing and shipping, but the personal check route takes a bit. Wish they took PP.

I've been fielding a lot more first timer / "newbie" questions than normal today as well. I ended up writing a 2 paragraph blurb about what the market "spot price" means, and why I don't sell at that price per ounce, to copy+paste a number of times.

I purchased a total of 3 ASEs today. The guy offered them for $20 a piece and he delivered them to my place. He said he'd get more in the near future and I told him that I'd buy all he could get. They're 2013s.

That would ring a warning bell with me and as the saying goes: "if it's to good to be true..it ain't" There are to many Chinese non silver or plated silver reproductions floating around, some that have even fooled the dealers. Good luck

Weight and dimensions are correct and they're not magnetic. Also, they look genuine. Good enough for me. And I'm good with reading people. He was just trying to get some cash for the weekend. College student. Not a professionl criminal.

Besides, if I were trying to sell fakes, I wouldn't risk going to prison for $60.

I'm still paying off planned and unplanned expenses, but I'm still nibbling on Mint bullion here and there as cashflow permits.

I also still say, "keep some powder dry". The cash will tide you over when others are selling, especially if you don't wanna sell at that moment.
