Panda premiums

I understand that most 1 oz. Pandas have a $100 premium on them; I have a couple of 1988 pieces, is that the current standard premium and do they need to be sealed? Thanks.

1988 is a common date. If selling to a reputable dealer you can probably get 98-99% of melt. If it was OMP or graded MS69 or better you could get more but $100 +/- over melt as you stated is probably a fair price to a retail buyer for a non-sealed coin.
