Some Great Matte Proof Lincoln Photos ... Thank you PCGS TrueView!

My growing Matte Proof Lincoln Collection. My goal was to complete an MPL date set with each coin PCGS graded and having some nice color at a reasonable cost. I had multiple TrueView photos taken of most of the coins below (too bad only one shot can be stored in the PCGS TrueView database, but I do have all the various shots on my computer). Note that the 1909 obverse, shown below, is from an alternate TrueView photoshoot. My newest pickup was the 1910 MPL graded PCGS PR65BN that I got for the bargain basement price of $764 on Heritage a few weeks ago. Yes, it does have some obverse spotting, but the reverse is nearly perfect. I liked the color and at 20% under the PCGS Guide price, I couldn't let it pass. There are just so few of these to pick from especially with my color/price requirements. The grades of the coins shown below are: 1909 (PR64RB), 1910 (PR65BN), 1913 (PR64BN), 1914 (PR66BN), 1915 (PR65BN).

The luster on the 1910 seems to be quite muted and that paired with the spots is likely why you got such a good price. VERY nice set Paul.

Who knows that 1916 or maybe a VDB may pop up when you least suspect it.

I agree. Actually the 1909 vdb and the 1916 are not even on my radar as they are too expensive.
But I am watching for a 1911 or a 1912 to come up for sale in my price/color range.
To be honest with you, they are ALL tough dates when you are looking for lower-cost and colorful examples.

Very nice indeed.....
Personally I don't care for the 1910.
