There's SO much wrong with this counterfeit even newbies should have known better. image

I reported it when I spotted at 48 minutes to go when it was $308.00 but guess it was too late?

    Yup...I agree.

    Looks fake to me.

    Good to know! image

I'm hoping the buyer sees this and takes advantage of the 14 day return policy.

Ouch. Hopefully the high bidder returns it.

If you look closely, the photos are the "same texture". It's funny how he tries to disguise his "listing personality" by dressing down the auction listing (as opposed to the KDRC listings with auction archive comparisons, pop reports and accusations to the PCGS Price guide for being offas you see on 90% of the KDRC listings) .. Unfortunately the consistently bad grammar remains transparent.

Yep, and the selling practices like drilling out cert numbers on holders, etc is the reason I block this person from bidding on anything I sell again.

Does eBay ever notify buyers if it was too late for them to cancel the auction of a counterfeit?

Yes, I'd be interested as well.

I didn't know the above info about Key Date Rare Coins.
I have seen a few coins with the grade drilled out - and
    that has always bothered me.

It should bother you. I have seen it numerous times but only auctioned by one seller.

Looks like we are too late. Ebay says that listing is no longer available.

In 2006 I bought a raw 22-no D cent from Key Date Rare Coins on eBay. I paid $1900 (as an EF) and it graded VF-35. That was my first 4-figure coin (I think) which was followed by many others.

In retrospect, I think I got off pretty easy on that deal.

Wonder if it's the same guy image
