GTG Mercury Dime -- grade posted

Here is an NGC old fatty no line dime. Guess the grade.

1937-S MS67

    66 and I think it's FB, but not 100% positive. Hammered strike either way.

    It is flashy, too. The luster is very high which you don't really see in the images.

    Nice strike!

    I'll call it 66FB. I think the subdued luster (or heavy, dark toning) would keep it from 67 at PCGS.

    Highest grade I will give based on a pic is 65.

    So 65.....can't tell about the bands and don't really care as the coin has a nice strike. There is much more to a Mercury dime besides those stupid middle bands that some people put so much value on! imageimage

    I thought NGC coins only drop one point. This thing could cross.
