naw packs are way more than $28 i think beckett had them at over $100 a pack. just wondering what they are going for now. I think i will trade for a few packs. I don't think I would get all commons but maybe
but no, you're nuts! lol. i almost guarantee you won't get your bv worth... that's why i sta away from expensive produects. the odds of me pulling something good are 1/100

what are your odds of getting osmething in 1 pack..?
Chris in new beckett it states this: Heavy Price, Even heavier volume. When a high-end product like 02-02 UD ultimate collection hits the market, it's easy to wonder what level of acceptance the hobby will extend. Wonder no more. Thought prices for a four-card pack have been hovering around $150.00 the early returns have been highly favorable for 02-03 Ultimate collection. In fact, BKCM price guide editor Keith hower says he can't remember another product with so few cards trading in such high bolume. Perhaps the heavy volume should come as a no surprise following the success of last year's product of the same name. What makes the product so desirable is the short-print element. Base cards are sequentially numbered to just 750. Meanwhile 10 of the RC's are numbered to 750, 14 numbered to 250, and another six are signed and numbered to 250. We were able to get our hands on one pack of 01-02 Ultimate collection. Here's what we pulled: *Antawn Jamison #17 #291/750 *Allen Iverson #43 #630/750 *Mitch Richmond #27 #305/750 *Paul Pierce Ultimate Collection Game Jersey #PP Iverson's card is valued at $25, Jamison's is at $10 and Richmond at $2.50 Pierce's game jersey card is at $40.00
Personally I don't think you should trade that much.>>>but... on the other hand.. you can sell the pack on like ebay and buy a much dersiable card you need. Or even may get lucky and pull a rookie auto #/250 or even a mj auto! -Jason
LET"S GO CUBS!!! BEST BASEBALL PITCHER: MARK PRIOR! Cards & References: Jasons Players
For all the people that haven't gambled on high priced packs, let me tell you it is worth it. You have better odds at pulling out something nice. I paid for a couple ultimates and got a very nice jordan. It's all if you have the money to play with. Don't go into it expecting to pull the best card available. If they are cards you can part with, I'd do the deal. It's a great pack.
Iverson patch, jordan patch. Basically, I made alot of profit on my packs. Another expensive pack purchase. 98 spx finite rookie update packs (2 rc's a pack) I got two packs....first pack bibby and Vince Carter on the back...whooow... Sold that on ebay for $680US (yea that was when those cards were untouchable. Second pack , felipe lopez and roshown mcleod...still have those damn crap cards.....
That's how it goes on big packs. You can win some and you can lose some large.....stupid felipe lopez and roshown mcleod.
But nothing feels better than opening a pack that you know an RC is in there or a GU is in there.
Give it a try. Greatest pull I have ever seen....well goes along with the 2 spx finite update packs I bought....
3 packs were left... I bought two, my friend bought one. I basically forced him to buy one because he is into football.
Open my packs, I had the carter spx so I was flipping out because hey that was an awesome card. Guess what my buddy pulls out of his pack.
1998 SPX finite Spectrum Vince Carter #15/25......dear god...the best carter RC with his jersey number! My legs were shaking when I touched that card. My buddy just goes...so what's that worth...like $100 bucks....needless to say, I got a big cut of that card (yea from forcing my friend to buy it), the most expensive carter card ever...
So there you go man, you could pull some sick jordan in there, you never know.
I say go for the gamble...I know most dealers I've talked to absolutely refuse to tarde packs for singles, the elemnt of risk is too high for them. Look at this way. Ultimate collection packs are selling for $120-150. Let's say, for the sake of argument, that they're selling for $120. You'd get $360 in ACTUAL VALUE for $450 in BECKETT VALUE. If you sold those cards, you MIGHT make enough to buy two packs of Ultimate Collection. I say go for it, and if the guy you're talking to wants to tarde more, tell him to contact me.
