the flying eagle was a recent gift from an old friend. the token is just something that happened to be in the vicinity of these two on my nightstand.

yeah, the total $6.45...i gave them 7 and they gave me back 2 quarters and a nickel. so, i got the food for about 30 cents. pretty nice deal.

My son has all the luck.He bought something at the gas station last night and got a 1952 washie in change.Since its my birth year he gave it to me.I asked him to go back and ask for a few dollars in quarters but he wont do that.He gets silver every few months in change.BTW nice find on the 54 D.

I always LOVE getting silver in change! It has not happened recently though.

I can remember when I was a poor old junior-high student buying coke and chips with these weird looking coins.

I wished that I could go back in time and take it back. Not so much for the silver content, but I am not aware of what I actually used in the machines. -Dan
