Update:
Here is the coin I bought that you were supposed to guess to win the giveaway.

My lame photo attempt:

Denomination: Half Dollar
Series: Walking Liberty
Year: 1941
Mint: Philadelphia
Strike: Proof
Grade: PCGS PR66
CAC: Green
Seller: Legend
Nobody guessed correctly beyond item 3 - year. Both of those said S mint and business strike. One of those had the grade at 65, the other at 66+. The 66+ is closer. So the winner is Coinerww2. I will be PMing him for mailing info.
I joined these boards a little over 6 years ago. I collected coins in my youth with my brother and father, and during a trip back home to visit my family, my son showed some interest in our collection and that got me started again. My son's interest did not last long (he's a late teenager now and there are just too many things competing for his time - it was the same for me). Some of my collecting highlights over the last 6 years include attending a coin show with my father and son, buying a nice birthyear (1934) uncirculated set for my father one Christmas, and buying my first proof Walker. I mostly collect Walking Liberty halves, and have completed the short set and am working my way through the '30s. At my pace, it will probably take me at least another 6 years to complete that.
I am not a really frequent poster, 1000 post in 6+ years is less than one every two days, but I really do appreciate this forum and the BST, of course. There is an incredible fountain of knowledge here that is free to all, and I feel fortunate to have found it. Anyone who asks a reasonable question, gets a quality answer. Often in just minutes. It is also very entertaining and keeps me excited about coins during those long dry spells between purchases. Some get a bit carried away with their rants and raves, but I see that as a passion for the hobby and usually enjoy it anyway. It can be quite humbling to see some of the amazing stuff other board members have, but it is also inspiring. The biggest thing I have learned in my 6 years here is to be patient. The coins we collect are decades or centuries and most are not so rare that you won't see another, so don't be in such a hurry to buy everything you like.
Now, the giveaway. You may post here or to this link in the Coin Swaps, Tags and Giveaways forum but choose only one.
Here is the coin I am giving away. A 1941-S Walking Liberty half in an ICG MS63 holder.

Here is how to win it. I bought a nice coin to commemorate my 1000 posts here. What is it? Guesses will be ranked in the following order.
1. Denomination
2. Series
3. Year
4. Mint
5. Proof or Business Strike
6. Grade
7. Bean (Gold, green, or none)
8. Seller
9. Price
10. Date purchased
As soon as you get one item wrong your done. So if you get Denomination, Series, and Year right, but Mint wrong, you get 3. It does not matter if you got the grade or seller, etc right. If you get everything right through Grade, you get a 6. Highest score wins. I may consider who is closest to break a tie. If someone gets all ten (and has no inside information) he wins. If you have any inside info, please do not participate. One guess per person. Only board members who joined before today (10/11/2012) are eligible. Hopefully, I have explained this clearly and not forgotten anything. I reserve the right to clarify, modify as necessary. My decision as to winner is final. I am dying to post images of my purchase, so I will probably close this early next week.
Good luck, and thanks to all of you who participate in this forum. I am anxious to post images of my purchase, so I will probably close the giveaway by the end of the weekend.
