Is the "Toned Coin Society" still around as I would like to get involved if it is ?

Hi everyone!

Is the "Toned Coin Society" or something to that effect still around as I would like to get involved if it is?

Thank you!

David

There are still members around, but the website died a long time ago.

The site administrator of the website passed away and then the site was infected with a virus and it also passed away. The TCCS was perhaps my favorite coin forum. Blasphemy, I know!

It's been down for quite a while now. It was a great forum with a smaller group of members, but I wish it was still around... the good ol' days

Someone could relaunch the club, using a free hosting site such as Facebook, that takes care of hacking and spammers.

Another idea is to have an ongoing thread on this forum (like the Barber mega thread or the UNO thread or the Gold economic news thread). That might enough to jump start it. Add in an online dropbox or a posterous page to share photos and it will feel like a club soon enough.

Adding fees, membership, gets more involved. Even if it is informal, large coin shows such as ANA shows, Baltimore, Long Beach will likely grant a meeting room and a blurb in the show program, if there is enough interest, and at least one person sure to show up.
