toning which is str8 2 blue on copper tends to leave me in the "at" crowd
    of course
my opinion does not mean it is not nt...sorry

  • Hi,

Color looks odd, but whats with the numeral 1?

Edit to add: I am seeing something in photo number 2 only - must be the image?

I don't think PCGS would grade it cleanly, no.

But it's probably worth a shot. A scarce, colorful, raw cent won't sell nearly as well.

I agree with mb, the one looks too thick and a little too large and I don't think its the pics.
The color looks AT to me(most certainly not an expert), but the "1" would be my concern.

Rub some oils from your nose on it. Will "magically" make that color disappear and probably look nice and brown. If you dont like it then rinse with acetone.

Appears to have been previously dipped and not rinsed well.... likely get a 'genuine' at TPG... Cheers, RickO

possibly some MS70 was used on it and not rinsed off well?

"wash, rinse, repeat"? image So what is with the numeral 1? Some common doubling, repunch or variety, the photograph, etc?

Not sure about that date, either. Here's one of mine for comparison.

  • Looks a little questionable.... Some old messing with?
I'd keep it in a book for a few years and let it "finish".
