Question about Cases

Lets say i buy a case 1983 Topps. I open 2 boxes and I pull a Gwynn , Sandburg and Boggs and they are all off centered. Does this mean the rest of the case will be off centered too?? I'm asking this because i bought a case of 1989 donruss and all 17 Ken Griffey Jrs were off centered top to bottom. Is topps different? Should i stay away from buying Donruss cases?

I have been busting vending boxes and cases and rak cases from the '80s from Topps lately, and I have not found that to be the case with the exception of the 1985 Topps Vending boxes I opened, which were not only vety badly centered, but miscut also.
The 1983 and 1985 Topps to me have been the worst centered I pulled, followed by 1981 and 1986 Topps. The 1987, 1988, and 1989 were all good, and I still have yet to break 1984 and another 1987.
From all my years experience, it is a crapshoot. The years I will avoid in the future are 1983 and 1985. Never had luck with them, and will keep anything I find sealed from now on. 1981 is a close second, though have had luck lately on vending with that year.
Tough luck on the 1989 Donruss, first I have heard of that situation, and I was going to buy a case myself to break. Will wait and see what others say before I do.

I have the same question regarding mid 80's OPC Vending Cases. Anyone have any experience?
