PSA / DNA on ebay

I haven't done any autograph buying before, so I'm asking the experts on the board for help. I was looking through autographs to see if there was any that would look nice in my office and came across this one.

It's being sold by a 1133 all positive feedback seller who states in auction "Bid In Confidence. We Have Been In Business Since 1986 And A National Booth Holder Since 1987."
Just a quick question, when I look up the certificate of authenticity I only see Harmon Killebrew mentioned. Is an auction like this a way of fleecing unsuspecting buyers? Auction Link

<< <i>Ask them for a picture of the cert.... They don't show the "full letter" at all.... I wouldn't assume they are trying to get an unsuspecting buyer though...

Now, here's what it says for this photo.

Why are there no notes for the Killebrew/Mays/Mantle photo?

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.
Does that mean the full letter may contain a photo of the signed photo and maybe more detail saying whether the other two autos are included?
<< <i>The auction states: Comes With A Full Letter of Authenticity From PSA/DNA.

The reason I posted what I did is because I am under the impression full letters have a picture of the item (it stated in the auction description, don't know if you read that meteorite)

I actually just went by what you said, and you mentioned cert. The photo was posted and I am sure the autos are good. PSA certificates, are like I showed, PSA letters do not say certifcate, and instead will say "Letter of Grading and Authenticity" or "Letter of Authenticity." Typically, we call PSA certificates...well PSA certificates and PSA letters...well PSA letters. In the future I will be more careful about taking what you say at word for word value.

<< <i>The auction includes an image of the letter. It has a picture of the photo with all three signatures on it and the printed words mention the names of all three signers. Assuming the letter is authentic and the PSA/DNA certification label on the photo hasn't been tampered with, the listing is legitimate. >>
Yeah, he revised the auction within the last hour and added that letter.
Sheeesh!!!
<< <i>So, do we now need a Certificate of Authenticity to certify the Letter of Authenticity that certifies the autograph(s)?
Sheeesh!!! >>
The letter is one of the easiest things to fake. All you need is the right watermark. The certification label on the item is also relatively easy to fake. All you have to do is get a sticker manufacturer to create a white glossy sticker with the right logo and six characters of text in a very common font. Chances are a fake certification label won't break off into a checkerboard when removed as the real ones do, but who wants to take the chance of ruining a possibly good item?
Another scenario is that someone has a photo of three or more players (similar to the one in this listing) that has only been signed by one of the players in the picture and then authenticated by PSA/DNA. The certification label would be real, but then the signatures of the other pictured players could be forged along with a revised fake LOA that includes all their names. This is where the online database comes in. If there's no picture of the actual item in the online verification database, the LOA and certification sticker deserve a lot of scrutiny, especially on multi-signed items.
Anyway, all of this is kind of moot, since PSA/DNA doesn't authenticate anything other than signed-in-the-presence autographs; they only offer a non-binding opinion. Signed-in-the-presence is a joke too. If a show promoter gives them a table to set up that's completely on the opposite side of the room where signings are taking place, they don't actually witness any of the signatures they're authenticating. Remember the Sal Bando JSA forgery? PSA/DNA could easily have the exact same thing happen to them, and in their case it would be worse, since their signed-in-the-presence COA actually guarantees the authenticity of the autograph.
