Definitely what I would call Altered Surfaces ...

    Any idea how that was done? It looks like added metal rather than engraving.

    Not realistic,
    metal added and the dimensions of the head are wrong....
    But interesting.....

    Very cool piece, and quite nicely done.

    I had a South African piece with Kruger done up in a similar fashion (along with Sherlock Holmesian pipe). Not as skilled a job, though.
