since PSA is not willing/able to slab Rack packs, what is the best way to store and display rack packs?

    Hey Eric,

I agree with BBG. The original boxes are the way to go. Only problem is you need 24 of them. On second thought, that really isn't a problem. image

Store and display = shipping? image
  • I'm also interested in how to nicely display rack packs...seems to me they would have to be stored/displayed on their side so as to be seen....and carefully to avoid any damage to the likely fragile cellophane.

    Bueller?

Get some peg board and hooks and hang them as they were originally intended to be displayed.

Try an oversized top loader. I think they are made as big as
    8 1/2" by 11".

The rack can sit nicely in the center and it will display well.
You can also see both sides.

The other way to go is if you got them from BBCE you can ask
Steve to shrink wrap them on cardboard and affix one of his stickers
on the back indicating year, brand, series (if any) and card numbers
    that appear on the rear.

The second way gives you a form of certification of authenticity (may
not be PSA but since Steve is the guy who does all PSA unopened it's
a pretty good alternate). Not sure he'll do it with racks he did not sell
to you but I know he will for racks purchased from BBCE.

    Hope this helps

Do you have a scan of what that looks like after he wraps it?

My daughter was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 2 (2003). My son was diagnosed with Type 1 when he was 17 on December 31, 2009. We were stunned that another child of ours had been diagnosed. Please, if you don't have a favorite charity, consider giving to the JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation)

Here's a close up where you can see the shrink wrap at the sides (note how clear the cards remain despite having an additional layer on top of them).
I'll try to get a full shot posted later today.

  • Best answer to your question is GAI.
Holders display well and easily and you can juggle them if so inclined with no worry about damage to the rack.
  • Any time you have your cards displayed out in the open, there's always chance to possibly damage them.

You can either put them in a glass display of you have room for one in your home or...

If you just like looking at your cards like I do - you can just scan them and always look at them without ever having to handle them again. I never really go back and grab my cards unless to add more into my shoebox. Now I can just go on my computer and look at them as much as I want without worrying about damaging them.
