Reviews on Sportlots Auctions or Sportsbuy Auctions?

I've seen both sites and they look cheaper then feebay when it comes to selling. I know that it has far less traffic though but does anyone sell through these sites?

  • No complaints about sportlots auctions. Fees are much much less (think it's 15 cents an item). No final value fee. It's either hit or miss on sportlots auctions. Hot cards always go for comprable prices to Ebay. Other cards can go much lower or much higher. You never know. Auctions can also go on forever--3 days of no further bids and the auction is done...but get a bid on that third day and the auction resets to day one. You will not get paid though right away from sportlots. They credit your account at the beginning of each month with your net. If you can live with waiting to get credited your money, you'll be fine. If you need that payment for shipping etc, it may be an issue. And the guy that runs sportlots is great with communication--he'll respond to your questions/concerns etc pretty quick.

Pointers: if doing auctions, add a picture--picture auctions always do better. Always scroll through all the auctions to see if comprable items are up there--one benefit to less traffic and fewer auctions is you may have the only auction of an item. I'd rather list an item on sportlots where mine is the only one up there of it, compared to Ebay where my item will be competing against 40 others. Best bet if you are serious about selling on sportlots auctions is to try out a handful of auctions of items you are willing to sacrifice at lower prices just in case...auctions are crap shoots no matter what site you use.
Next MONTH? So he's saying that if he wins, the best-case scenario is that he'll be paying for it two weeks after the auction ends?

I agree with what is said so far. One downside is that there is not a search feature for the auction side of the website. I sent them an email recently and they said it may be on the horizon but is not available yet.
